November 16 – Leaves, Flowers, Clay

Hidden amid the hustle and bustle of the big city are small wonders of nature: green leaves, delicate flowers, and fresh twigs that grow boldly between houses, streets, and cobblestones. Inspired by the exhibition “Havelluft und Großstadtlichter” (Havel Air and City Lights), we will design clay bowls using natural materials – plants, leaves, flowers, and everything else that nature has to offer. Whether it’s a lovingly crafted souvenir, a gift, or simply a beautiful place to store small treasures, create your own little work of art using clay and nature.

December 21 – Magical Winter Worlds

Immerse yourself in the enchanted winter landscapes of the exhibition “Havelluft und Großstadtlichter” (Havel Air and City Lights) and discover how the painters of the Berlin Secession captured the cold season in all its facets, from the gently snow-covered fields of the Havel landscape to the glittering snowflakes covering the streets of the city. Inspired by this, we will create our own snowy landscapes. With cotton wool, scissors, and paper, you can create your very own winter world, and maybe it will even turn into a very special Christmas card!

January 18 – Enchanting cities and peaceful landscapes

Do you prefer the lively city or the quiet idyll of the countryside? The painters of the Berlin Secession also asked themselves this exciting question. In the exhibition “Havelluft und Großstadtlichter” (Havel Air and City Lights), you can discover together how urban life and rural idyll merge in the artworks of the Secession. Inspired by the beautiful paintings, you can use scissors, cardboard, and paper to design your own dream cities, true to the motto: What does your perfect city look like? Is it lively and hectic or quiet and idyllic?

February 15 – Small worlds, big Havelluft

Immerse yourself in the vibrant natural world of the exhibition “Havelluft und Großstadtlichter” (Havelluft and City Lights) and create your own miniature nature diorama. Using an old shoebox, colorful paper, and natural materials such as leaves, twigs, and moss, you can create a small landscape. Whether it’s a dense forest, a tranquil lake, or a small path on the outskirts of town, design your own miniature world full of green wonders and bring a piece of the Havelluft home with you!

Please bring a shoebox with you!

March 15 – Clear the stage for Art Deco!

Fancy a creative journey through time? The exhibition “Glamour and Geometry. Art Deco in Illustration” showcases impressive illustrations in the style of the 1920s. Particularly fascinating are the artistic backgrounds, which are influenced by architecture, design, and the zeitgeist of Art Deco. Be inspired and design your own Art Deco dream together! Whether it’s an elegant cinema, a chic café, or a stylish living room with colorful paper, golden details, cut-out furniture, and lots of imagination, you can create your very own mini backdrop.
