Parallel to the development of industrial production, the desire\n was awakened to create something with one\u2019s own hands. After the First \nWorld War, when there was an interest in good design on a minimum level,\n many DIY designs emerged. Today, Berlin is virtually the capital of the\n DIY movement, and this has received another decisive push with the \nInternet and the 3D printer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is a long list of prominent \ndesigners who created DIY objects. This exhibition looks at the \nhistorical development of DIY design in the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century. \nEmphasis will be placed on contemporary concepts and above all on their \nimmediate experience in workshops at the museum. Workshops on DIY and \ndesign make DIY an actual component of the exhibition itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A collaboration between Br\u00f6han Museum and MAK Wien.
